How come you didn't mention 1952's Singing in the Rain, his most famous musical? The AFI even called it the greatest musical ever made.

Thanks for writing!

I omitted "Singin' In The Rain" because so much has already been written about it. I was trying to steer readers toward the more obscure works of Kelly's cannon.

I expect I'll get even more e-mails of puzzlement when I highlight Christmas films and, for the same reasons, bypass "It's A Wonderful Life."
